lubrication plan
1. PREVIOUS TRAINING

After sharing our experience in the field of industrial lubrication, we determine the level of knowledge of the person about tribology and based on this, the rest of the consultancies and training are planned with the possibilities of carrying out a successful plan. The modality of the training can be online or face to face.

2. SURVEY

The maintenance manager transforms his repair actions to those including management, parameters controlling, plan variables managing and establishing preventive and predictive criteria..

On the other hand, the operator in charge relieves all the tribological conditions of the plant equipment. The data needed is:

● Bearing number
● RMP
● Power
● Maximum and minimum ambient temperature
● Influences of external temperatures (oven, cold room, etc)
● Currently used lubricant
● Quantity
● Periodicity
● Application mode
● Manufacturer recommendations

3. CALCULATION

According to each component, the best type of lubricant is calculated (generically or with the brand that the client is used to working with, in case they have suitable products). The following will then be calculated: the quantity to be used, the re-lubrication period, the lubrication tools and the relevant mechanical changes for correct operation..

4. PLAN ASSEMBLY

Once the calculations have been completed, a lubrication folder is assembled with one sheet per machine (or the necessary amount) where it appears: indicative photo of the point to lubricate, lubricant to use, amount in grams or pumps, tools to use, safety conditions, re-lubrication period, check-up activities, estimated time of the task and additional cleaning activities.

5. LUBRICANTION AND OIL DEPOSIT STANDARIZATION

Lubrication is organized and ordered from the warehouse to the point to be lubricated. These steps include: The redesign of the lubrication warehouse, the coding of lubricants with alphanumeric and color codes, the identification of lubrication tools, and the identification of lubrication points with the same colors as the tool to prevent mistakes.

6. PREVENTION STRATEGIES

At this point, preventive maintenance strategies related to the duration of the lubricants are defined, in order to minimize wastage, which includes:

● Oil flushing.
● Oil analysis.
● Filter and component upgrade (according to ISO 4406).
● Vent or vent filters with silica gel.
● Installation of oil monitoring equipment in critical machines that require it.

7. MONITORING AND CONTROL

A visit is proposed according to the periodicity agreed with the client to verify the implementation of the plan, correct the deviations and propose new techniques and products as the science of tribology continues to advance.

8. TRIBOLOGY COURSES

These training sessions can be dictated face-to-face or via online. The second applies to companies anywhere in the world, developing the plan model that best suits their needs. Each activity taught by professionals in tribology is accompanied by its respective training module to ensure the good performance of the operators in their respective functions.
